I like to watch politics from the sidelines. It's so serious if you're able to do much about it, but as a person who can do nothing more than vote, I can't help finding the arguments people get in rather thoroughly funny.

A few friends called my attention to the myriad joke groups about Sarah Palin on Facebook. The supporters stay fairly quiet, and the naysayers? Well, we have a group "Sarah Palin hates Polar Bears" (because she objects to them being treated as an endangered species), and a group that says "I had a passport before her" and one that says "I have more foreign policy experience than her" and so on. In fact, there are a LOT of them about the Polar Bear thing. It's funny!

Except sort of not.

Why do I always feel guilty when I refuse a guy, though I feel guiltier if I accept?

Not sure what to actually post beyond the wistful emotion.

Getting flattered a lot today. Also saw two former boyfriends within the space of 10 or 15 minutes. Yay for Eudo and my penchant for geeks.

I also had a woman who I just met ask me if I'd like to go to lunch sometime. It was disconcertingly like a guy trying to ask me out. (She said she didn't have any friends in the area yet. I told her that I'll be moving to the South Bay soon, and she said What a coincidence, she'd be down there in a month, could she have my phone number?)
