So. I'm pretty sure the Doctor's death will get retconned somehow. (I honestly wanted Amy to be the one to die so she could be a simulacrum for the rest of the season, though.) But I saw the pregnancy thing coming. I mean, they want a married couple but they want it to be dramatic, but I think they're sick of the jealousy. Ergo, pregnancy.

I am quite curious for next week, because this seemed a heck of a lot shorter than it actually was.... and oh my gosh WHY did they have Amy shoot at a child?! I get it, evidence that she was just reacting but wow.

I was thinking about your predictions re: Idris, and it occurred to me that I had a lot to say at one point in the past about Old Blue wanting to become a Real Girl. I put forth that she had learned her lesson after what happened when she tried to do it by means of body snatching - but it makes sense that after giving it a while she might try again, correcting some of her mistakes from last time :)

I'm going to complain about the new series now. How come they never go to planets that aren't Earth anymore? Or if they do, they're still covered in humans. I wanna see an episode with no humans in it! Apart from regular cast members. Adric was a freakin super-evolved spider. Amirite?

Okay, done complaing about things that aren't actually problems. But I just watched Earthshock and wanted to complain about something :D

They went to the Ood Sphere! ...which had humans, but eventually it only had Ood. And, hmm... um, well, the catacombs where the starliner crashed in Time of Angels USED to have two-headed people, ummm.... the Doctor and Rose had a minute on a world with flying things... you're right. Not that often. But honestly, I like that they have so many historical episodes. I'm sure it's a budget thing, anyway. If I had to pick between a lot of so-so costumes or a few spectacular ones, I'd go a few spectaculars.

I'm not sure it will have been by the old girl's choice. Doubt she'll object for long though. (I'm going to feel pretty low if I'm wrong...)

Not terribly offensive, no, though there is one firearm-based crack that irked me. Really, I was too often delighted by other jokes for that one to get to me.

I would like to note for your sake, btw, that when the Doctor's all confused about how everybody's acting around he turns to Rory to try to figure out why. I really think the Doctor likes him... but is maybe sometimes uncomfortable because he knows that Rory isn't really there for himself. Poor Doctor.

Also, Karen Gillan has confirmed that Amy is supposed to be much more sane this season, since she now has memories of growing up with her parents and generally having a better life than she had had. Some evidence of a healthier relationship with Rory already, but not really enough yet.
