I just saw a preview clip of the next episode which I really really liked. *sigh* Me and tragedies, seriously.

In other news, a little perusing of other people's archived observations convinces me that the art department and maybe more of production really like yanking the fans' chains. I mean some of it clearly has a purpose, like jacketed doctor, and some of it is less clear, like the unexpected light on the roof (and possible extra TARDIS noise) in Victory of the Daleks...

But some of it clearly has no purpose but seeing how many fans latch on to it, like the fact that the Doctor wears a blue bowtie every time he goes into the past and a red one for the present or future. Seriously. Why go to that trouble except to have a laugh?

Also, today's issue of "Arthur King of Time and Space" mentioned that they use exactly the same color convention in comic backgrounds!

I wonder if it's anything to do with red-shifting and blue-shifting. But red-shift is the one that's going away from you and blue-shift is the one that's coming towards you, so really it's backwards. Shame. That would've been too awesome to even contemplate.

Unless you follow the Trollish convention of time, which states we go through it backwards, which is why we can see the past so much better than the future.

And the internet fandoms are made up almost entirely of Trolls! It makes sense!
