What is it with the Doctor Who universe and encouraging an irrational fear of clowns in children? I mean, seriously.

I wonder if there's some go-to guy who specializes in creepy clown makeup. Because while it already disturbs some, it's definitely something that can be made worse....

What is irrational about a fear of clowns?
