There's a very vocal set of Doctor Who fans who have been complaining that the Grand Moff is "using timey-wimey plots too much". But I like the fact that he actually makes use of the fact that the Doctor can be a time traveler within the story as well as merely a device to let him be wherever/whenever you want. And it seems I'm not alone.

So. Second day in Castro Valley, everything's soQUIETaaaarrgh! But the local cafe is perfect because it has Turkish coffee, good food and free wifi. That's important, since Gma's house does not.

Took Raina for the longest walk this morning and she was mostly well behaved, but a bit confused on the rules of crossing the street. Still needs training for that, but I think it might be 'cause she knows I'll get the cars to stop for her. (uff da) But we were walking for over an hour, and that's a long time for a cat to stay close to her human. In that respect, she deserves plenty of praise.

I don't quite know what to do with myself. I suppose I can just start hanging out at the local library, but I think if I walk there Raina will actually follow me the whole way. Which means I'd better keep her harness on hand for crossing the big streets. It's too bad I can't just carry her in a basket on my back or something. I can just imagine how offended she would be if I put her in my backpack for part of a trip.

At least I have a couple days of tutoring to do tomorrow and Saturday. That'll be good.
