Typical

I am really bad at picking favorite bits of music. I say one or three, then I think of another two, then I listen to it all and I decide that five more really should get mentioned and I try to decide how to rank them all, then I realize that another one I forgot to mention really should be at the top.

Which is what I've been doing for the last two days with the 59 tracks of Doctor Who music I own.

Current favorite: Tooth and Claw? The Daleks? This is Gallifrey? One of the Martha tunes?

All-time favorites: Madame De Pompadour and Doomsday. (Probably)

FUTURE PROJECTS:
*a playlist for going running
*a playlist for confusing Papa (he usually won't consider soundtracks 'real music' and hates John Williams with a passion)

Snow Queen

"You can't wrap a hug in words and send it through email. But you can send a fist."

For some reason, this isn't entirely true with me. And I'm trying to sort out in my mind why that's the case.

I think it has something to do with something Jeff said about drama a year ago or so. "All drama is, is misunderstanding. Person A says something, Person B jumps to a conclusion and reacts, Person A gets offended rather than ask about it, and it all escalates in a huge spiral of alternating arguments and refusal to talk." (no, that is not word perfect. I'm not that bad.)

This is why I try to be scrupulous about finding out WHY people get pissed at me and about being absolutely clear when offering criticism. And because of it, I have a nasty habit of developing more affection, sometimes, at long distance.

Because it's less of a risk, isn't it? I don't expect much from someone who can't see me or touch me or hear my voice. I don't expect them to call me every now and then, or to hang out with me on occasion. Every little gift is an unexpected delight. It is very, very easy to be a friend at a distance, as long as the drama problem is controlled.

Inevitable

There is a certain way these things are written which demands that EVERYTHING that seems permanently gone eventually return. I keep making that argument, cause it's true, heck, it's even been admitted by the writers to a small extent.

So there is just NO avoiding some things. The Master will come back, the Time Lords will come back, and someday, somehow, we will hear about Susan Foreman again, God help us.

Note: Anything involving spooky sentient action by the TARDIS counts as Bad Wolf. Also, anything involving good Time Lords should go under the Romana heading for convenience. If you can think up a reason that doesn't fit under any of these headings, please include it in comments.
