Music session

I just spent a few hours singing with Gaelle at her house.  We picked out some good oldies from the fifties and a couple songs in German, written by Grieg.  Of the latter, the Cradle Song was oh so sad but beautiful.  All about a father taking care of a child whose mother died in childbirth.  So very beautiful, and simple.

Edit: Oh, we also spent some time sharing favorite / funny / interesting soungs via YouTube and the iTunes store.  Meaning we discovered this TOTALLY WEIRD Rammstein song in SPANISH with a title that translates to "We Want Whores".  Yep.

Indirectly, that led to me finding a Firefly music video to All These Things That I've Done.  Good match of music and material, badly made video.  I feel like I should redo it, even though I do not have any of the material to do so.

GEEKS!

I just witnessed two clerks at Comic Relief vociferously arguing the proper filing of Action comics - leading to one of them, Brian, calling his MOTHER to ask her opinion, and continuing quite vocally with her on the line.  I wonder just how well his mother knew the subject in question.  I also wonder if I've EVER met anyone as fanatical about Superman comics as Brian is.

I .... I'm so amused.  I say that a lot, but that's cause there is much amusing in this world.

In other news, the Supreme Power: Nighthawk story?  Reminds me very much of certain parts of Dark Knight Returns.  But not as nice. Scary thought.
