mayamaia....yeah, I may be far gone.
I just thought, after composing an answer to a friend's worries, "He could probably use getting hooked on Doctor Who." Followed by "Oh come on Franny, Doctor Who won't solve everyone's problems."
Of course, to be fair, Doctor Who WAS a big part of how I transitioned back to school. Every time in those first few months that I found something intellectually difficult, I just told myself I was brilliant in the Doctor's voice, so why shouldn't I be able to? And the Doctor just makes the idea of knowledge exciting. And... he has this infectious sense that nothing's impossible.
