First feature: Robin Hood with Douglas Fairbanks

Silent movies are hilarious. Because they're entirely visual, the acting is extra physical. In Robin Hood? This translates to a lot of grown men skipping and jumping in tights. Suddenly I understood their Shrek versions a LOT better.

(Also I found the ending extremely funny from the tumblr girl's perspective. Very very very easy to put words in King Richard's mouth as he banged on the door.)

Science Fiction Double Second Feature: Forbidden Planet

Hahahahahaha so if it wasn't enough that Gervaise Ravel was trying to analyze the health benefits of kissing, or that she hooked up with General Harmon by the end, all the trouble was caused by Morbius's brain!

Also, the monster was unbelievably good for 50's special effects. Heck, it was decent for 80's special effects.
