I have a well socialized cat.
Jul. 9th, 2012 03:45 pmI am at the cafe with my cat again and she is being awesome and popular as usual.
...It always weirds me out when people (generally women) ask me "Oh are you her mommy?" I know what they mean but... no. She is a cat. She is not a kid. They are both beings of merit, but I do not confuse them.
For one thing, I would feel really weird if a child were trained the way she is...
*snap snap* *whistle* "Here, Raina! Hello beautiful. Do you want food? Oh, no you want my hair." *wiggling of braid* *prolonged laughter*
That would all be very very wrong if I thought of her as a kid. (Well not all. The braid thing works on everyone. Adult humans included.)
She is a cat. She is wonderful in cat ways.
