Just found out about the official MGM biographies of the boys. So THAT'S why about a third of the fanfic writers thought/knew that Napoleon's Canadian! You know, before executive meddling. And why a few of those mention his Navy days. And it explains the Pursang, which had REALLY been confusing me. And his lost wife. Seriously, all my lingering questions, now solved.
Nothing new about Illya though. Of course. He was, after all, something of a surprise, wasn't he? I already knew the jazz records under his bed thing.
Confirmation that they live in the same apartment building. Which is a "new luxury building" and yet Illya has a "small austere apartment" in it. I find that hilarious. Perhaps because I'm imagining him pestering someone until they let him live in a closet. ...yeah, I know, that's a bit much, but still, too funny not to imagine.
