Cool things
Jun. 1st, 2011 04:44 pmFirst of all, these Japanese elderly are awesome, I just have to say. The article is only calling it a kamikaze mission for the drama, notice that Mr. Yamada's reasoning is that cancer due to radiation exposure usually takes longer to develop than his projected life span. He does not see it as a sacrifice, he sees it as basic sense.
Whether or not he's right, this is the sort of thing I label a true act of love: one that is focused not on what is sacrificed or lost for the love but what is gained. I hope that their request to serve is granted.

Second, nifty but spoilery Doctor Who video. The tune doesn't grab me, but the arrangement is good and ( the lyrics alone are well worth a fan's reading )
