Apparently I have a fan.
Apr. 27th, 2010 04:33 pmI was about to go into the library's employee lounge (not really something I'm allowed to do, but hey, technically I DO work IN the library and free coffee is good) when one of the librarians came up to me.
"Your lectures are very interesting!"
"Excuse me?"
"I've listened to you giving your little talks. They're very interesting, I enjoy them!"
"Um, thanks!"
"Are you one of the students?"
"Yeah..."
"And you're helping your fellow students out? How nice!"
"Actually, I'm a tutor. It's one of my jobs on campus."
"Well, it's been a pleasure to watch you, thank you!"
So. The thing is, there's a large public study space I frequently use when the private rooms are all booked. Like all the collaborative spaces, the walls have whiteboard wallpaper, and I do end up standing at the board lecturing a lot. I was always more concerned that I might disrupt others' studying with my admittedly powerful voice, not that I might be entertaining the library staff...
