Happy Geek Chick
Jun. 7th, 2008 12:39 amCelebrating the beginning of finals (which means the end of classes, which means no actual homework, just projects) with a little Tom Baker. Specifically I saw most of The Hand of Fear and The Deadly Assassin again.
Ah, Borusa is such a prig in this one. I think I prefer him in The Invasion of Time.
Tom Baker confuses my poor little fangirl brain. Any other Doctor I can say is adorable or good-looking but attractive just isn't the word... but then we have the funny-looking bloke and I must admit it's the right word for him. It can't JUST be the voice - cause I keep giggling at solely visual things too.
But then this is the serial when he plays action hero.
Tomorrow! More from ... you know, I just learned that people are calling him the Grand Moff. Ha! I like it. Yay for Steven Moffat. Another little geekish joy was discovering an archive of his quotes from the official forums. "How dare you. We never called the nanogenes 'magic fairy dust', that would've been camp and ridiculous. We called them Tinkerbells."
*Edit: Oh God help me, I went and signed up for the forums just so I could read more things he's said. But it's cool, I'm learning about some of the less-successful stuff Moffat did before he settled into his style. Tom Baker apparently ripped him a new one for one of his sitcoms in the nineties*
