I don't mind where you come from, as long as you come to me
And I don't like illusions, I can't see them clearly
I don't care, no I wouldn't dare to fix the twist in you
You've shown me eventually what you'll do

I don't mind, I don't care as long as you're here...

I think the song from the Free Hugs thing caught me far more than the video. But then, that's not exactly unusual for me.

Between that and The Proclaimers' I'm on My Way we have my soundtrack for this morning. (Yes, I know, an odd mix. But the second song is almost the happiest ever, and it's putting me in a fantastic mood.)

Speaking of which, song recommendations are always welcome. If there were one thing to point to as a thread through my life, music obsession would be right up there with guys I can't get over. (no seriously, it took me six years to get over a guy I started liking when I was 7. I don't know HOW not to be stuck on someone.)

Okay, I'd better run if I don't want to be late for Elisabeth.

I missed my stop on the train and had to backtrack TWICE because the news was sending me into gigglefits. The first because a headline game me the notion of a Clinton-Bush lovers' quarrel, the second because someone was just excommunicated from the Catholic Church for making four married men into bishops.

Then I got a free French Hot Chocolate because someone recognized me from the bakery. In downtown Berkeley, about 3 miles of city away from work. The world loves me.

And I read something totally awesome about a lady with cancer who was getting an ultrasound for a hysterectomy (and looking at brain surgery soon after) and discovered she was five months pregnant. Entirely undetected, and should have been IMPOSSIBLE due to the high levels of prolactin in her system. She's calling the girl her stealth baby.

I've been in a good mood, can you tell?
For those of you who didn't know what I was getting at, the Wikipedia entry for the most famous homeless person to have lived in America.

Of note, I think, are his correspondence with Queen Victoria, his influence in stopping anti-Chinese riots, and the fact that he died in complete poverty despite the great care lavished on him by his home city.
