Unimportant

First of all, nifty.

Now. I should really watch Letterman more often, since I like it so much. Last night was a shorter show, but he was certainly in top form. (Goofier, too.) The bit that stuck in my mind was the Batman reference, pulled off in all seriousness... Well, that and the random frisking and the waitress and the Captain Crunch thing. And "flammination".

Yeah. I should watch it more.

Fits of silliness

I rock. In my own silly way. I absolutely filled my hair with flowers (every one different) after work, though about half of them just fell out as I walked. And wandered along humming that flowers everywhere song.

Lizzie was in a terribly good mood (her boyfriend's coming back on Tuesday) all day, leading to a lot of teasing me and flirting messages written in the bread crumbs on the slicer. I don't know what to do about that..... but man, it's funny.

Oh dear gosh, somebody did a full "All Your Snakes Are Belong To Us" video. *twitch twitch* Way, WAY too much free time.

With the same delicate movement that she had performed on her first visit after the accident the young woman lifted her shirt to reveal her stomach. Her scar was still heinous upon first reaction, cutting through her otherwise young and trim abdominal wall. But it was the kind of scar that can expose the illusion of beauty, the imperfection of perfection. For once I felt ashamed for going along with the airbrushed magazine covers, the five story billboards of svelte flesh, and the soft core images of perfect curves projecting out nightly from my television.

Self-control.

So many stupid, mean things I could say - even, sometimes, want to say.

No matter how sure you are that you are reasonable, there are always those little thoughts made of pure spite. One can't just give in to them because "they deserve it".

Nobody is ever going to live up to your ideal version of them. If they did, they'd be more you than themselves. Even worse, if you couldn't expect them to act in any other way, you have no right to be mad at them, since you're the one who's acting delusional to think they might do otherwise.

Stupid Franny. You know better.
