Nobody was identified as Rory's parents. In fact, I don't think his side of the high table even got camera time.

I have nothing to go on for what to think the Brig's daughter will be like. I suspect that she is either there to fill a hole in the story that the aged Brig was supposed to occupy, or Courteney's death made the writers want to give him a little immortality. So she will be no-nonsense and practical and I will be over here imagining that Bambera and Ancelyn had a son only a few years younger than her.....

Hee hee hee. Anyway. Jenny doesn't have time travel yet, does she? So how would she meet the young Miss Stewart? (Jenny will so eventually get time travel)

But yeah - if her disposition is unlike her father's, then we can have the military man's scientific/pacifistic daughter teamed up with the scientific advisor's militaristic daughter... there's beautiful symmetry here.

(I used to have headcanon that Bambera's successor was a Chesterton. Then I discovered that that character actually existed in the novels and he was a rockstar. And the new series ruined UNIT.)

Between Ponds and Stewarts this show is being overrun by the scots. Now all we need is for Jamie to have miraculously survived and teamed up with Dalek Clan McCrimmon. But I agree with your assessment - and probably the latter.

Who was that woman sitting next to Rory then? Like, I know none of his family was explicitely identified. But can they be identified in retrospect? (And now I'm wondering if they're going to bother to be that...careful. Was Mels at the wedding? Well...I suppose at the time the Doctor didn't exist...but River was there...I'm gonna make myself dizzy...)

Mels was confirmed not at the weddling. She said weddings weren't her thing.

I think the identifiables are Amy's parents and her aunt. I don't even think the old lady from the first episode showed.

While it would be nice symmetry, I suspect no such luck.

Holy God and this wonderfully mad world no. I just hang out in other fandoms in the off season.

MFU is a bit more intense than most though, and that's because I like the fandom. I seem to be a bit of a completionist when it comes to MFU fanfic - which is an endeavor similar to being a completionist for Doctor Who canon.

But dude.
