The trouble with my life is that it is very very easy to apply the philosophy of Camus to it. My introduction to his work in 2008 contributed to the sudden onset of one of the darker depressions of my adult life, without an event-based trigger and in the middle of the time of year that is usually best for me.

Yet, at times like this when my life has a distinctly Sisyphean edge, his ideas are there, waiting, telling me that I must be happy. And he's kind of right...
