....there are a lot of things about the human race that just don't make sense to me, and I keep trying to make them do so by finding the reasons they are that way. But I get back into trouble when, having found the reasons, wanting to believe the people who're being nutso could act rationally and let themselves change. *sigh*

The answer to the famous question, 'Why can't we all just get along?' is probably as simple as 'Because it takes work to change one's mind or compromise, and getting angry is faster and easier.' Patience is not humanity's virtue, but habit - useful when doing one's job day after day, not when trying to change the world.

This is the second time I've read about that "Womyn's Music Festival" that aggressively denies trans people. You've crossed the line when you've attacked someone physically, I'm sorry. (The first I heard about it was for an English class, conveniently just when the first friend started talking to me about his/her trans issues.) Clearly, all they want as a group is the club they've created. Not being able to change them, I am happy to say they hold no temptation for me, never have or will, and given the chance I would have every person there discover how hollow their unity against "the male oppressors" is, in their hypocrisy.

Note to Self:

When I have a bit of extra time, I really shouldn't wander into a store and try on a dress that probably won't fit me. Because it might just fit perfectly, and then it's that much tougher to resist.
